Technology enthusiast, Apple user, Destiny player.
Tech
I’ve been into technology since I was about 7 years old and video games since pretty much the same time. My first video game console was a Nintendo, but I’ve even played games on a Commodore 64.
I’ve used Windows, Linux and MacOS, the later being my preferred operating system for about 10 years now. I’ve got a 2016 MacBook Pro, an iPhone 11 Pro and an iPad Air 2 (desperately needs replaced).
I’ve run web servers, name servers, email servers, SSH servers, file servers, etc… all on various flavours of Linux. I wouldn’t consider myself to be a developer by any stretch of the imagination, but I’ve dabbled in PHP, Perl and do a lot of scripting in various shells (bash & fish mostly). Lately I’m playing around in Apple’s Shortcuts on iOS and MacOS.
Gaming
My gaming mostly takes place on an Xbox now-a-days and mostly in the world of Destiny. My first Xbox was an Xbox One, but my current console is a Series X. I’ll still game on my Windows PC occasionally, but that is becoming less and less. That’s weird to say since the majority of my gaming took place on Windows PCs in FPSs like Call of Duty or RTSs like Starcraft when I was growing up. Mostly I’ll play Minecraft on my PC with my kids playing on their iPads.
